The main conflict and main tension of the film is between the patriotism and self-sacrifice of the volunteers and the conditions in which they have to defend the Motherland. On the one hand, touching boys who are trying with all their might to master at least some basics of military art in a matter of days, on the other - the state, which gives them helmets from the Second World War, teaches them how to march and sends not-so-conscious commanders, - write Texty.org.ua. The short documentary film "War on Your Own" was shot on the front lines and in the training camp of the National Guard by Leonid Kanter and Ivan Yasnii. The composer of the tape is Eduard Prystupa, better known as Dilya, the sound engineer is Artem Mostovy. Representatives of the film crew originally planned to show short daily clips from the ATO zone on the Internet, but later abandoned this intention.
